Angela Beth Balser felt her sweet romance with Donavin Heusser was like a fairytale. The proposal was even perfect. Donavin enlisted the help of Angela’s friends to propose on the eighteenth green of the Bluegrass Yacht and Country Club where she played golf. Of course, the wedding and reception had to be at Bluegrass where the proposal took place. The staff was so helpful with the proposal that there was no need to talk with other venues. The ceremony took place on the 27^th of April on the country club patio, where an excited groom danced his way to the altar. After a brief ride in a “just married” golf cart, the couple was introduced during the cocktail hour in the Sunnyside room, which overlooks the golf course. The party of 130 moved into the Cherry Hall Ballroom for an evening of dinner and dancing. A delicious buffet dinner and passed hors d’oeuvres were prepared by Bluegrass’s own Chef Donald. Music during the ceremony and reception was provided by Significant Otter Entertainment, where the large dance floor was never empty! The floral arrangements and bouquets of orange calla lilies and orange and white roses were lovingly created by J Botanica. Each moment of the day, from getting ready until the end of the reception, was captured by Brett Richmond Photography. Everyone knew exactly where to be and what to do as the Wedding Coordinator, Beth Funderburk Templet was incredibly organized. Angela and Donavin were pleased with every aspect of their event. Jennifer Turrill, director of private events at Bluegrass Country Club, was so easy to work with and had many fabulous ideas for the wedding.
